Camera tracking systems determine the pose of the employed camera and support system in order to render the virtual image from the same perspective as the real camera. Traditional tracking systems require new equipment with external sensors at each axis of the individual support system and precise calibrations.
In opposite to this, VioTrack uses image feature points within the video picture of the camera to place the virtual graphics exactly at their desired position within the set. VioTrack’s unique markers are placed everywhere the action is needed, identified by image processing and located in 3D. As the stunning result, Virtual graphics are precisely sticking to the set.

VioTrack is designed in three different versions to fit your desired degree of camera freedom and budget best. Choose the most cost effective VioTrack S1  for basic camera movements, the VioTrack S2  which enables a free moving camera or the VioTrack S3 version for free camera movements for all axis.

VioTrack S1

Designed for basic camera moves, based on  pure image processing
While the camera can change the pan, tilt, zoom and focus, the fixed camera position allows you to reliably work with 3D graphics. 

Here just the TV camera video picture is processed by the unique real-time image processing algorithms. Therefore no additional sensors are required, no special hardware is dedicated to this setup.


VioTrack S2

Designed for free moving cameras
In addition to VioTrack S 1, Viotrack S2 employes the zoom and focus data of the applied TV lens. Therefore VioTrack S2 is able to determine the 3D position and orientation of the camera precisely. Now the camera can be moved with the help of a pedestal, a crane or even just your shoulder!


VioTrack S3

Designed for free camera movements for all axis
In addition to VioTrack S2, Viotrack S3 employes a dedicated sensor camera which is rigidly attached to the TV camera and observes the scene. Therefore it is not longer necessary that the TV camera sees the video features, the sensor camera always has the features in view!

This enables the TV camera to even fully zoom in while moving in 3D space.

The individual feature markers can be set anywhere in the studio, the back wall, the studio ceiling or the floor. The individual calibration of the single markers position establishes a reliable set-up for the camera tracking.
